Recommend it for groups
We had an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant, the waiter was great. The Sunday morning breakfast buffet was extensive, I still remember the creative dishes they offered, it was well prepared and plenty to choose from.
It wasn't inexpensive but it felt acceptable when considering the experience.

Stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel was stunningly beautiful and fairly clean, had stunningly beautiful views, amazing location by the river side. The room was huge and complete with a bath. Location: the venue was close enough to the centre of Steyr, the square or nearby, and the old town center.

The staff went out of there way to make our brief stay extremely pleasant. They surprised us with a free upgrade to the honeymoon suite because it was our 1 year anniversary. The room was terrific; spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet was also great with a large selection of tasty items.
Due to their prime location on a lovely and historic cobblestone plaza, parking can be challenging. However, the hotel can provide parking nearby and there is a public lot (pay) that isn't too far from the hotel. We were lucky enough to find a parking spot right in front of the hotel that was free till 8 A.M. the next day.

Staying at the Mader Hotel was a delight. The bridal suite stood out with its spacious layout and comfortable furnishings. I loved the large tv and the mini-bar that added to the luxurious feel. The breakfast in the conservatory was another highlight, with a rich selection of fresh bread, cheeses, and meats. The staff at reception, especially Sarah, were helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in. The hotel's location in the heart of the old town made it easy to explore charming shops and local sights. The lack of air conditioning was nice. The parking situation required a bit of planning, as spaces filled up quickly and the longstay lot was a short distance away. Would have appreciated a kettle in the room for morning tea. Despite these minor inconveniences, I would definitely recommend Mader for its comfort and charm.

The staff are very welcoming and the situation of the hotel in the square is perfect. We also borrowed very good quality bikes from the hotel for 2 days cycling.
The breakfasts were not very inspiring and quite limited in choice.

During my two-night stay, the location of Mader was excellent, right in the altstadt, with access to nearby sites like Melk Abbey. The room was a comfortable Superior Double Room, equipped with modern amenities and a large tv. Breakfast offered a good selection of items, including delicious bread, meat, and cheese. I particularly appreciated the nearby longstay car park at €6 a day, which simplified parking arrangements.
Limited dining options in the evenings were somewhat inconvenient.
